Dr. Gina grew up in Newcastle, South Africa, where she matriculated from Newcastle High School in 2002. She went on to earn her Medicine degree (MBChB) from the University of Cape Town in 2008. Following her internship, community service, and tenure as a medical officer at Madadeni Provincial Hospital, Dr. Gina developed a strong interest in cancer therapy.

 

Driven by this passion, Dr. Gina joined Greys Oncology as a medical officer, gaining valuable experience before pursuing specialization. She completed her oncology specialist training at Groote Schuur Hospital, Cape Town, in 2020. This rigorous program culminated in her Fellowship of the College of Medicine of South Africa in Radiation Oncology (FCRadOnc SA) and a Master of Medicine (MMed) degree from the University of Cape Town.

 

For the past four years, Dr. Gina has served as an oncologist at Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital. Her areas of expertise include sarcomas, gynecological cancers, breast cancer, and prostate cancer. Dr. Gina finds deep satisfaction in offering her patients a comprehensive range of cancer treatment modalities. She is consistently humbled by the positive impact these treatments have on patients and their families.
